For two or three days, everything fits in a carry-on if you know what to bring. Here's the list, plus a trick for group trips: share out what can be shared.

Documentos y dinero

Documents and money

  • ID card or passport (check it hasn't expired).
  • Boarding pass or tickets on your phone.
  • Bank card and some cash.
  • Accommodation and ticket bookings to hand.
  • European Health Insurance Card if you're travelling within the EU.

Clothes for 2 or 3 days

  • One set of underwear and socks per day, plus a spare.
  • Two pairs of trousers or skirts that go with everything.
  • Three T-shirts or shirts.
  • Something warm depending on where you're going: a hoodie or light jacket is almost always needed at night.
  • An outfit for going out.
  • Pyjamas.
  • Comfy walking shoes (wear them) and another pair if you're going out.
  • Swimsuit, if there's a beach, pool or spa.

Toiletries

  • Toothbrush and toothpaste.
  • Deodorant.
  • Shampoo and shower gel if the accommodation doesn't have them.
  • Sunscreen, in winter too if you're heading to the mountains or snow.
  • Contact lenses or glasses, and any medication you take.

If you're flying with hand luggage only, check your airport's and airline's liquid rules before you leave: many still require small containers in a clear bag.

Tech

  • Phone and charger.
  • Power bank.
  • Headphones.
  • Plug adapter if you're going to a country with different sockets.

What the group can share

On a trip with friends, not everyone needs to bring everything. Share out before you leave:

  • Hair dryer and straighteners.
  • A multi-charger or extension lead.
  • Speaker.
  • Basic first-aid kit: ibuprofen or paracetamol, plasters, something for the stomach.
  • A deck of cards or a board game.
  • Beach towels, if the accommodation doesn't have them.

You'll travel lighter and won't end up with four hair dryers and no charger.

In YOKA every trip has a packing tab with two lists: the group one, where you share out who brings what, and yours, private and with quantities. And “Pack my bag” builds a list for you based on the destination and number of days, so you don't start from scratch.

Preguntas frecuentes

FAQ

Can everything fit in a carry-on for a weekend?

Yes, for 2 or 3 days that's normal if you pick clothes that go together and wear your bulkiest shoes. Check your airline's luggage size limits, as they vary.

What do people forget most?

The charger, their ID and something warm for the evening. Check those three before you close your bag.

How do we share out who brings what on a group trip?

Make a shared list of things everyone can use (hair dryer, multi-charger, speaker, first-aid kit) and have each person sign up for one or two items. In YOKA that's the group packing list.
